Title: Causes of instability of the mandibular total denture
Abstract:
Despite the appearance of new technologies and their use by dentists to overcome the problems of lower total edentulism, the complete prosthesis still remains an alternative of choice. However, this type of prosthesis may not meet mechanical principles such as stability.The problems of stability establish the main complaint in Mandibular Complete Prothesis, so justifying a particular attention on behalf of the practitioner, where from the interest to determine its etiologies and to estimate these various cause, who can be regrouped according to tow big shutters ; the first one is bound to the physiologiy of the patient ( the physiological troubles, the degree of reductin, the floating crest), and the second is bound to the errors of the practitioner committed during the various stages of prophetic conception (over-extended or under-extended borders, the disorders of occlusion ; the erroneous teeth arrangement).
