1. Understand the fundamentals of customized and subperiosteal implant design, indications, and biomechanical principles.
2. Identify clinical cases where customized implants represent the ideal treatment option compared to conventional implantology.
3. Interpret and analyze 3D imaging data (CBCT, intraoral scans) for digital planning and implant customization.
4. Collaborate effectively with digital laboratories to design and validate customized implant structures.
5. Master the surgical protocol for flap management, implant placement, and fixation techniques of customized implants.
6. Recognize and manage complications related to customized and subperiosteal implants.
7. Integrate prosthetic planning with the surgical design for optimal functional and aesthetic results.
8. Evaluate long-term outcomes and clinical evidence supporting the use of customized implants.
Biography:
Angelo Cardarelli is a highly accomplished Oral Surgeon with extensive international experience in clinical practice, academia, and research. He earned his Master’s Degree in Dentistry with highest honors (110/110 cum laude) from the University of L’Aquila in July 2007 and later specialized in Oral Surgery at Sapienza University of Rome in November 2010. Since September 2007, he has been practicing at Clinica Cardarelli in Isernia, Italy, while also expanding his global presence as an Oral Surgeon at Dona Medical Clinic in Dubai since February 2022. Alongside his clinical work, he has held key academic roles, including Adjunct Professor and Scientific Advisor at San Raffaele Hospital University in Milan since January 2012, and Visiting Professor at the International University of Agadir in Morocco since February 2021. Dr. Cardarelli is widely recognized for his expertise in implantology and oral surgery, with numerous scientific publications and regular participation as a speaker at international congresses. He is a member of the International Extraction Academy of California and the Global Scientific Dental Alliance in Dubai, and in 2020 authored the book “Piezoelectric Surgery of Impacted Teeth” published by EDRA. He is fluent in Italian and has advanced proficiency in English, supporting his active engagement in the global dental community.
