Title: Case series of atypical presentations of ameloblastoma
Abstract:
Ameloblastomas are benign locally invasive neoplasms. Classically considered the second most common odontogenic tumour after odontoma it is the most common odontogenic tumour in African populations. Classically the radiographic appearance may show unilocular or multilocular radiolucency (with multilocular more prevalent). There may be septa or multilocular appearance to the lesions. This may appear as a ‘soap bubble’. Here we present a case series of a number of atypical ameloblastomas to demonstrate the phenotypic heterogeneity of this condition in a south London population of King's College Hospital.
