Title : The future is NOW – Teledentistry, Remote Treatment & Remote Monitoring of Care in Dentistry

Abstract:

The author has taught the “business principles for dentistry” internationally to primarily orthodontic audiences for decades.  He often projects the medical model to offer insights on the future of dentistry.  Dr Sellke has been using an AI driven technology called Dental Monitoring (DM) since the summer of 2016 as a tool for orthodontic consultation, monitoring, treatment, and even patient communication in his orthodontic practice in Illinois, USA.  Little did he know that Covid-19 was coming, but when it did he was well prepared to provide remote care without loss of quality or time. 

Dr Sellke has also expanded this tool to develop a very successful model for collaborative treatment of easy orthodontic cases by area dentists with his practice mentoring and monitoring treatment on behalf of the dentist provider.  This was developed as an answer to direct to consumer (DTC) models proliferating throughout the world.

Dr Sellke will offer a peak at the future of remote diagnosis of a myriad of dental problems using the artificial intelligence feature (AI) of Dental Monitoring.
